ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Traditionally, environmental protection is a top priority in our factory. Along with the existing highly demanding environmental aims, Connect Chemicals Production and Services is striving in 2009 among others savings in energy consumption by better planning of energy demand and training the employees in energy-handling. In order to achieve our goals, we put demands on our staff and consciously include them in our processes.

Our environmental protection policy pursues the goal of organising the manufacturing processes and the use and consumption of our products over their complete life cycle in a way which protects the environment. We monitor the specifications for environmental protection and evaluate the consequences. In addition to this, we also intend to improve our environmental protection performance via legal regulations and are working on this using key performance indicators. We are orienting ourselves to the basic principles of the “Responsible Care” initiative from the German Chemical Industry Association. These guidelines contain an active environmental protection policy as a self-concept alongside comprehensive product responsibility and the fulfilment of environmental protection obligations with respect to company requirements of facility safety and risk reduction.

This encompasses work safety and responsibility for the staff, the transport and storage safety and security of our products and the involvement of our staff in the dialogue.
